Dr. Fahad Saeed is a climate scientist currently working at an international climate science and policy institute, Climate Analytics. He is also associated with King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as an Adjunct Professor. He holds the Ph.D. degree in Earth Sciences from Max-Planck Institute for Meteorology (MPI-Met), Hamburg, Germany with a focus on Regional Climate Modelling, mainly working on the South Asian region. Dr. Saeed has vast experience of dedicated work on diverse issues surrounding climate change. He has numerous international publications, scientific reports and policy briefs to his credit, on the topics of climatology, Hydrology/Glaciology, climate policy and communications. In addition, Dr. Saeed occasionally writes articles and also makes media appearances to create public awareness about current issues concerning climate change and its impacts. Dr. Saeed has previously worked with Max-Planck Institute for Meteorology (MPI-Met) and Climate Service Center (GERICS) under Helmholtz-Zentrum-Geesthacht (HZG), in Hamburg, Germany. He was Climate Change Advisor and Head of Environment and Climate Change Unit at the top ranked policy think tank, Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) in Islamabad, Pakistan. During his early career at Global Change Impact Studies Center (GCISC) in Islamabad, Pakistan, he also led the research section on Water Resources. Dr. Saeed has a background in Physics. He received his M.Phil. degree in Computational Physics and the M. Sc. in Physics, both from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan.

Dr. Khan holds a Ph. D. degree in High Energy Physics from Deutsches Elektron Synchrotron (DESY) at University of Hamburg, Germany. She is founding member of the non-profit organisation for sustainable and environment friendly living, Öko-Grünes Leben e.V. in Germany and remained president of this organisation until 2019. She also served as one of the Guest Editors for Special Issue on Science-Policy Conference on Climate Change (SP3C) published in Earth System and Environment (ESEV) by Springer International Publications. Dr. Khan has also worked as Scientific Advisor/Consultant for OSF heat stress and mitigation project at Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), Islamabad, Pakistan. She taught at Quaid-i-Azam University as Assistant Professor until 2016.

Climate data analyst

Haris Mushtaq holds Masters Degree in Energy Systems Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan. He has over 5 years of professional experience working in water and climate sector. He recently worked as a consultant for Climate Analytics and developed High Resolution Online Climate Data Tool for Nepal Using State-of-the- Art Climate Models. He is currently working as a Climate Data Analyst on PROVIDE project. His prior affiliations include Global Change Impact Studies Centre(Water Resources Section), Leadership for Environment Development(LEAD) Pakistan and Oregon State University, USA.

Mahnoor is a Data Analyst who has interest to leverage big data to discover insights and identify patterns that have real human impact. She has helped healthcare systems like DHMC, Pakistan where she analyzed 100,000+ patient records to identify patients’ medicines purchase behavior.  She always has been inspired by the solutions-focused blogs on climate changes that not only educate and inspire people but also engage them in activities to invest in our planet. Currently she is working as Data Analyst in Weather and Climate Services Limited and is doing her Masters in Data Science from National University of Sciences and Technology.

RESEARCH assistant

Zahid Masood is a Geophysicist graduated from Quaid I Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan. He is also Ph.D. Research Scholar at Zhejiang University China and currently serving in C3SD as Research Analyst. Mr. Zahid has previously served as Geophysicist in Sinopec Henan Petroleum company at Indus Offshore, Pakistan having deep approach on Hydrocarbon system of Pakistan. His research is focused on Climate Loss & Damage impacts in perspective of Pakistan under the umbrella of UNFCCC.

Mr. Talha Bhatti is an Environmentalist, particularly passionate about nature-based solutions for ecosystem protection and conservation. Mr. Talha’s educational background is from Quaid-I-Azam University and Government College University in Environmental Sciences. Currently working as Research Assistant to conduct literature review regarding research problems, synthesizing reports for policy recommendations based on climate variables by collecting and analyzing dataset to provide support to research teams as necessary.

Khadija is a bioscientist with an avid interest in sustainable and climate smart agriculture. She has been working in the climate change sector of Pakistan for the past three year, during which she has engaged with public institutes, private organizations as well as development agencies. Currently she is working as a Research Assistant on PROVIDE project and acquiring a post graduate degree in Development and Climate Change from National University of Sciences and Technology.
